Those handmade beeswax wraps are an eco-friendly alternative to plastic food wrap, designed for wrapping food.
They are perfect for wrapping a sandwich, half an avocado or lemon, cabbage, bread, or for covering a bowl. Each beeswax wrap is handmade and produced in the small workshop, located near the beehives kept with a lot of care and love. It is a small project of the bee keepers family from Lithuania.
For the production of the wraps also are used pine resin and OEKO-TEX® certified cotton.

How to Wash?
We recommend washing soiled wraps by hand with cold water and a soft sponge. If needed, use a mild dish soap and let them air dry naturally in a dish rack. With regular use and proper care, beeswax wraps can be used for an entire year. Avoid heat and hot water, as beeswax has a low melting point.
Refresh
We strive to be as environmentally friendly as possible. When your beeswax wrap starts to lose its stickiness, you can refresh it yourself by using a piece of beeswax with pine resin you will find in our shop aswell, cut into strips, and compost it or use the strips as fire starters.
Refresh Your Wrap Using an Oven
Preheat the oven to 140°C. Place the worn-out beeswax wrap on baking paper and grate a piece of beeswax on top using a kitchen grater. Spread the grated wax evenly over the wrap and place it in the oven for about 3-5 minutes, until the wax melts. Grab the corners and let it dry for about 30 seconds.
P.S. You can wash the grater with hot/boiling water and wipe it with an old cloth or paper towel.
Refresh Your Wrap Using an Iron
This is how we first started experimenting with beeswax wraps! Place the old beeswax wrap on baking paper and grate a piece of beeswax on top using a kitchen grater. Place another sheet of baking paper on top. Layer it like a sandwich :). Heat the iron to maximum and iron the wrap from above. Let the wax melt and spread it over the entire wrap. Remove the top sheet of baking paper, grab the wax-infused wrap by the corners, and let it dry for about 30 seconds.
