Also known as Ivan chai, one of the best alternatives to green tea, the beneficial heritage of local herbal knowledge rediscovered by tea lovers and scientists. Rich in beneficial phenolic compounds, caffeine-free.
Ingredients: organic fermented fireweed (Epilobium angustifolium) leaves 100 %.
Benefits: An excellent source of vitamin C and iron and can help with colds and lack of energy after serious illness. Rich in polyphenols and flavonoids, carotenoids and has very strong antioxidant properties.
This tea may be useful for allergy sufferers as hesperidin and quercetin inhibit the release of histamine and reduce allergic reactions. Flavonoids, especially rutin, are beneficial for the beauty of the skin by stimulating collagen synthesis and strengthening connective tissue and small blood vessels.
Flavour: More pronounced flavour and aroma, with a specific recognisable aftertaste, comparable to black tea.
Add 1 tbs per cup of ~ 80°C water; let steep for 5-7 mins.
Goes well with a slice of lemon and/or honey. Enjoy!
